Yes. Oak cabinets are notoriously more difficult to refinish because of their deep grain. We have a special process for eliminating this grain, leaving you with a smooth, flat finish.
Yes. We are happy to assist in replacing your cabinet hardware, including drawer/door pulls, hinges, and slides.
Depending on the application, we spray, roll, and brush. Spraying will always leave the smoothest finish, so we spray cabinets and fine trim. When spray applications are not possible, we utilize techniques to minimize any brush strokes or roller stippling. Our focus is to provide a smooth, glassy finish.
There are a number of factors to consider in determining this: the size of your kitchen, number of cabinet boxes, amount of masking required, etc. This makes defining an “average” kitchen difficult to do. However, for a kitchen with approximately 15-20 doors and 12-15 drawers, an “average” estimate is 4-5 days of on-site work.
We also transport your cabinet doors and drawer fronts to our shop for safer coating application in our spray booth. This typically takes around 1 week to complete all the prep, application, and sufficient dry time. 1 additional day will be require for re-installation of all doors, drawer fronts, and hardware.
Of course. In spray applications, one part of your kitchen that may be difficult to access for a couple days is the inside of your cabinets, since we mask those off to protect them from overspray. This masking stays on for the much of the refinishing (priming, painting, etc). Therefore, we recommend storing plates and cups elsewhere for a few days, or stocking up on some paper and plastic.
To protect the rest of your house, we also mask off things like walls, ceilings, floors, and counter tops. However, this is normally only on the day of spraying.
